Producer Insight
Creative Momentum
Creativity isn’t always instant – it builds over time. After a break, it can often take a week or two to regain momentum. I know I’m back in the flow when I’m fully absorbed in creating, unable to step away.
Some of my strongest ideas emerge when I’m exhausted. Pushing through that tired state often leads to instinctive, uninhibited creativity. It’s as if my inner critic fades, allowing fresh ideas to flow.
To keep momentum, set up regular, low-pressure sessions. Even 1-2 hour bursts a week can keep ideas flowing and prevent creative stagnation.
Next time you’re tempted to shut down for the day, consider pushing through – you may just surprise yourself.

Schedule a Weekly Session
Consistency fuels creativity. That’s why I’ve made it a habit to write a new track every Friday. Some weeks, I have a couple of hours – sometimes less – so I’ll just sketch out an idea.
This routine keeps me moving forward, no matter what. Find a time and place you can commit to each week. Make it non-negotiable.

Music Rhodes 08
This week, we’re giving away a soulful Rhodes progression from Liquid Deep Vol 1. I recommend resampling it – pitch it down/up, reverse it, or process it through FX plugins like reverb and distortion.
